I rarely check or update this site anymore, but I decided to log on today and I am astonished with the amount of positive feedback I still get on the photos that I took when i was just 13, 14 or 15 years old!
I am still shooting, however photography has become a thing of strictly business for me. It is my summer job and I rarely pick up a camera outside of my work hours, which is why I no longer am able to keep my deviantart portpholio updated. I simply don't have the photos! All the images I take now belong to the company I work for.
In regards to my personal life, if anyone is even interested, I am starting university in the fall and I am no longer riding. The time requirements of school and the financial requirements of riding is what forced me to stop. However, in the fall I will be studying pre-medicine and am following my dream of becoming a doctor!

I feel like I definitely owe everyone a little bit of an explanation as I have been MIA for the past 8 months or so..
First off, the reason I didn't post much over this summer was due to my job. I work for a horse show photography company now so..
1. I have a fairly limited amount of shots I can take and post myself since they are technically owned by the company I work for.
2. The shots I am required to take are very classic and simple.. the type of photo people want to buy. I would say this isn't really my personal style, so I find there are very few/no shots that I want to take home and post here.
So unfortunately photography as a hobb

Why hello there wonderful people of dA.. long time no talk..
There are lots of things I have to update you on! I guess I'll start with my horse situation!
I ended up leasing a jumper mare for the summer named Pizza! We showed in the 1m jumpers at May thunderbird and for the most part, it went really well! She's super fun and a lot different than any of the horses I've owned or leased in previous years. Hopefully by the next show we'll move up to the 1.10's!
A lot has also changed with my photography! First off, I got offered a job to shoot with Totem Photographics (thunderbird's official photographer)! Some of you may have noticed with my

Hello people of dA!
Figured I'd post a few quick updates :)
I'm still riding, and after a meeting with my trainer this year I'll be starting in the 1m jumpers then moving to the 1.10! I'm choosing between 2 horses to least this week, but I'm pretty confident I already know which one I'll be leasing. She's super cute, fast, a little fiery and has done the 1.20's in the past. I've only ridden her once, but we really "clicked".. so I'm feeling pretty optimistic about it!
I've also been running looots. I competed in my first 10k just last sunday. I did it in a little under an hour and was 180th out of 1411 in my age group which isn't horrible!
Follow Up
I've taken a few lessons at the new barn now and I've been having a really good time! I've been riding a chestnut mare named Rhea and she's quite the opposite from what I'm used to. The last lesson I had was really good. We jumped around 3'9" and I was finally getting back into the swing of things.
Unfortunately, I seem to have injured my back. I've had a bad back off and on since grade 8. I'm pretty sure it's just sciatica, so I need to rest and go to physio. Either way, it causes me a lot of pain whenever i put weight on my right foot or participate in any activities that cause a lot of strain on my back (ie: horse back riding). So I've be
